Intoart x John Smedley

S/S 23 Knitwear Collection

This limited edition garment collection, created exclusively for John Smedley, has been developed by three Intoart artists and translates their distinctive visual languages to luxury knitwear. Starting as drawn designs full of gestural mark making, dense illustration and vibrant compositions, they have been effortlessly translated from paper to textiles through handcrafted print techniques.

Launched as part of London Craft Week 2023, This collaboration is the culmination of many skilled hands, meticulously crafted to transcend seasons and generations. Starting in rural Derbyshire each garment has been expertly produced at the historic John Smedley factory before making the journey to Peckham where the designs have been hand screen-printed and dyed giving each piece a unique identity.
