T-Shirt Design
Mawuena Kattah was commissioned by the charity Shelter to create a T-shirt design that responds to their core belief that ‘Home is Everything’.
For Mawuena this meant reflecting on her Ghanaian heritage and drew upon an extensive personal archive of family photographs taken in Ghana over the past two decades. Her design is equally inspired by her love of wearing African wax fabric, sent from family in Ghana and bought in London from Brixton Market.
