V&A Museum

London Design Festival

A two-year commission working with the Victoria and Albert Museum designing a new and unique collection of printed textiles. Researching and taking inspiration from the vast V&A collection and archives spanning diverse influences from traditional Japanese kimono fabrics to 1960’s futurism. The resulting printed fabrics were applied to a range of fashion and furniture designs made for public display.

Two major museum displays were commissioned, commencing with a bespoke display of 10 metre lengths of fabric in the V&A’s 20th Century Design gallery. The project culminated in the V&A Fashion Galleries showcasing the fully realised garments and furniture as part of London Design Festival.

For this project we partnered with designers Holly Fulton and James Lambert from womenswear label ‘Holly Fulton’.
